Culloden Tales: Stories from Scotland's Most Famous Battlefield by Hugh G. Allison. Contains many stories of great interest to members of the Clan. Author Hugh G. Allison worked front-of-house at Culloden Battlefield for many years, which gave the opportunity to access hundreds of first-hand documents and contemporary accounts of the battle. He researched these so that he could more fully answer the questions of visiting Clan members. He also gathered stories from descendants the world over. Stories which had been told (and kept safe) in families for centuries. These have now been set down to tell the reader what they want to know, not to tell them what other people think they should know, about Culloden. There are many stories about the Clan's involvement in the 1745 Jacobite rising and the aftermath, along with haunting photographs of all of the clan graves and stones. Allison's principal motivation in writing this work was to ensure that this knowledge was not lost. Purchase the book at Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com by clicking on Culloden Tales.

Golden Bough Rooted in the traditional Celtic music of Ireland and Scotland (as well as Wales, Cornwall, The Isle of Man, French Brittany and Spanish Galicia), this trio of modern day minstrels has expanded upon these ethnic styles through the development of intriguing arrangements and original compositions. In this way, they have created a sound unique unto themselves. Since their formation in 1980, Golden Bough has traveled great distances to numerous countries, to bring their music to enthusiastic folk fans the world over. Backing themselves on an array of acoustic instruments, including Celtic harp, guitar, octave-mandolin, mandolin, accordion, violin, penny-whistle and bodhran, they blend their voices in pristine three-part harmony and feature haunting solo vocals. In the recording studio, as well as on stage, Golden Bough captures the essence and joy of traditional music. For bookings or for recording or concert information, contact Golden Bough, PO Box 485, Sheridan, OR 97378. Phone/fax: (503) 843-2152.

Lovecraft aquatic leviathan." - Mick Farren, City Beat.
